What Customers Say About Canon PowerShot SD750 7.1MP Digital Elph Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Silver):
|
|
i purchased my camera at $240 here at amazon. once you go canon you will see quality and durability.*just a note:Sometimes a purple line comes out in the pictures. Besides coming out squeaky clean and wet the camera still worked. has gone up to $500. Picture quality in both cameras are beyond excellent; they are perfect. Once I purchased my first canon I would never go back to using any other cheap camera.
i had to get this baby because my old canon got washed in the washer. Just standing away from the a light source can help eliminate this. I have had my camera for 3 yrs and still works like new. i would not trade it for anything else. that price is ridiculous Only dropped a couple of times but it barely has a scratch.
The lcd just looked pink so i decided to buy this new model.
I bought this camera in July, 2007 from Amazon, and I've still got the purchase voucher which shows that I bought this very same camera for $259.99 at that time. I think Canon could make the SD750 into a perfect little camera if they were somehow able to turn it into an f/2.2 or f/2.0 lens camera. I would make a couple of comments about the product and then pose the question that's the title of this posting: 1) The product manual can be helpful, but I found that reading it at the outset was only marginally useful (much to the amusement of my son). Usually, over time, I would think that the same camera would become cheaper as newer products go on sale, but instead the price has gone UP by over 50%. and make special use of the "Function/Set" button to get you started into the camera's workings - THEN go back to the manual and start reading; the book will make a lot more sense that way.2. I bought the SD750, oddly enough, because my son had bought one (using my money, of course).
The things you can do with it when it's in the manual (or other, non-automatic modes) are amazing and fun, and I've learned a lot about photography and digital photography as I've enjoyed the camera. Don't know if this is possible, but Canon ever does this, I want to know about it and buy one. Finally, the question: What's happened to the price. While I wasn't particularly pleased to see a new camera in his hands and on my dime, I must say that the images he showed me on the on the 3" LCD screen really got my attention: bright, sharp, and clear, with excellent color. The camera's lens is a good little lens overall, but the one shortcoming I noticed over time is that it's got a low luminosity/f stop rating of only f/2.8, and this makes for lots/lots of noise in low light, non-flash photo situations. Does anyone know why this has happened. Those images came out just the same on both my PC and my Mac Cinema screen, and I liked them so much, I bought the very same camera myself in July, 2007.Since then, I've had a great time with this little gadget, snapping thousands of photos and learning the literally dozens of features the SD750 sports.
I'd say fiddle with camera on your own (yes, as my son had told me at the outset).
Who needs a viewfinder with this LARGE screen.Takes nice video, too.More features than you'll ever use or need. Had this camera for about 2 years now. I never run out of battery power with it (unless it's cold cold cold outside when I'm skiing). Battery life is very very good also. It's perfect for taking with you anywhere. (What's the best camera to have. The one that's WITH you).Very unobtrusive to have in a shirt pocket (maybe a little weight noticeable because it's quality and sturdy). No viewfinder.but you don't miss it.
Needless to say I do NOT recommend this seller I never received this camera - its been several weeks past the promised date, and i contacted the seller with no response.
the best part is that when you press the button it takes the photo - no lag.only negative is charging. this is a great camera. i dont like carrying an extra charger when i travel. why cant it charge via the mini usb. it takes great photos and has enough bells and whistles. i use it for video too - perfect for emailing my daughters development to my folks.
